The Ward Bridal Shower

Savannah tying a quilt for me
Since our love blossomed in the ward, many people in the ward were rooting for us. Joe and his kids sat on the third row and Grandma, Mom and I in the fourth row of the chapel, we were in perfect view of all those behind us each Sunday.

We had plenty of support from the ward as our relationship grew and I would often get those giddy looks and hugs from the older women in the ward. It was so nice!

When we were engaged, the sisters in the ward wanted to give me a bridal shower so they could express their excitement for me. It was so fun!

We had delicious food and talked and then they all sat around me as I opened the gifts they generously gave me. I brought my step-daughter-to-be, Savannah and she had a great time! She would tie on me every bow that came on a gift. At the end of the night I had bows everywhere and I looked like a present. Joe came in at the end looking all embarrassed because he was the only man in a room full of women. He's so cute.

I will share some pictures with you from this event.
